HOW IT WORKS

How Umbrella Payroll Works with Lexicon

Once you’re registered, we handle PAYE processing and support you throughout your assignment—while you continue working through your agency as normal.

Register & Verify – Complete a quick sign-up and upload your documents
Payroll Setup – We confirm your PAYE details, tax code and pension status
Submit Timesheets – Timesheets are approved via your agency/client process
Payslip Issued – You receive a clear payslip breakdown once processed
Get Paid – Payment is made in line with the agreed schedule once cleared funds are received

Understanding Your Payslip

We believe in transparency. Your payslip shows your pay and deductions clearly—so you can understand exactly what you’re receiving and why.

Gross Pay – Based on approved timesheets and assignment rate
PAYE Tax & National Insurance – Calculated using your tax code and HMRC rules
Pension – Auto‑enrolment where applicable (opt-out options available)
Umbrella Margin – Our fee for payroll processing, support and administration
Net Pay – Your take‑home pay transferred to your bank account
